I love it when a book generates the kind of unseemly laughter that makes people carefully back away from me on public transport. It's kinda rare, and usually unexpected. So particularly if you've ever read one of those books along the lines of, A Year in Some Rustic European Idyll with Better Food than the Palate-Abusing Muck of Boring Grey England, James Hamilton-Paterson's Cooking with Fernet Branca is a good bet.
By the way, if you're someone for whom I buy books as presents and it doesn't appeal or you've got it already, speak now or forever after… 'Cos otherwise you'll probably be getting a copy for Christmas or the next big festive event. It's a fast, light read and quite pick-up-able, so even though there's no audio book, those with sprogs should be okay. If you're still in Abuja, I'm gonna need that mailing address…
That is all.
