Gone through the wringer have I...yes...

So... as of ten o'clock this morning, I am a real, genuine Evil Auntie. Words cannot describe (although I'm sure I'll recover shortly).

I've also just finished re-reading The Color Purple for banned books week at Smart Bitches'.

I have snot down my face and my favorite bookshop just gave me free promotional mug.

All in all, I'm an emotional yo-yo. Or is that Yoda? Yogurt?

  1. Congratulations, EAP!! Every young child needs their very own Evil Auntie. Just think of all the evil you can perpetrate in the name of well-rounded child development.

p.s. I just bought some PG tips at the store to see how they stack up against my Yorkshire Gold. And I didn't even know about Yorkshire Red until your post, lol

--Robin, definitely NOT a super-model of any geographical extraction.

  2. Thanks very much, Robin. I am currently planning interesting experiments on gender and trying to persuade the ludicrously ecstatic parents to call the boy-child Matilda and dress him in pink. Enjoy the tea (although I suspect you'll go back to Yorkshire brand in the end...)

    Thank you too, bookwormom!

    Congratulations!

I would have posted sooner, but I was home celebrating my own nephew's 1st birthday, the day before your niecew was born. Welcome to the Auntiehood. It's a wonderful place to be.

  5. Thanks, sallyacious. It's hard to tell but I don't think the neff would be offended. He mainly looks a bit squished, still.
